As of yesterday, the annual open detonation season (April 1 through October 31) has begun at the Tooele Army Depot, South Range in Rush Valley. Residents may hear periodic detonations during this time. For the most up-to-date information, please follow Tooele Army Depot on their social media pages for daily updates.

In addition, Lanits Fireworks will be conducting detonations every Thursday at noon for the next little while. These scheduled detonations may also be heard in the area.

These activities are planned and controlled; however, we encourage residents to be aware and prepared.
